Mirrabooka Study Centre is an educational centre for boys and young men that promotes education of the whole person. The centre helps young men to grow in character, competency, maturity and concern for others. This is done through the delivery of educational programs and through mentoring.
Mirrabooka is an undertaking of Educational Development Association (EDA), a not for profit company registered in New South Wales. EDA runs several projects for the academic and personal development of the Australian youth.
Mirrabooka is open to students of all religious denominations. Students are expected to respect and understand other beliefs and live according to the standards of behaviour which are compatible with the Christian ethos of the centre.
Mirrabooka has its own Chapel and the Opus Dei Prelature has been entrusted with the spiritual and doctrinal orientation of Mirrabooka’s activities. St Josemaria Escriva founded Opus Dei, meaning “Work of God” in Latin, in 1928. The mission of Opus Dei is to promote a deep awareness of the universal call to union with God among people of all walks of life through their daily activities. In other words, finding God in your everyday life.Click here for more information about Opus Dei.
